GYZ (pronounced "guys" ... or maybe "guise") is a performing and recording duo comprised of Brian Porter and Ken Pink. Brian hails from a classical background in piano and voice, but learned music could be fun around the time he started playing guitar instead. Though he could never completely forsake his strict disciplinarian roots, these days he'd rather strum than arpeggiate. Ken approaches music from much more free and unstructured roots: Play what you feel and feel what you play. He is always open to something new, but keeps it real; there's no other way, really. Together, Brian and Ken find a middle ground where they can collaborate to create an admixture of styles and moods with each song.

GYZ is proud to present their newest effort: DIS, a CD of 13 songs made from a blend of pop and rock. Sometimes driven by rhythmic guitars, and other times carried by overarching piano, but always with lyrical expression, GYZ worked to create a new sound for each these songs.
