This Rant-o-Rama is not a newspaper column, I do not charge people to read it, and although I like to receive feedback, I will never change something about it (or any other part of the website) based solely on someone else's opinion. If I like an idea I might adopt it, but you should be aware that I--like anyone else--bristle when I am told something along the flippant thoughtless lines of, "Ya gotta change X about your website," or, "I don't like Y on your website."
My replies to those statements, whether I just think them or actually let my mouth run off are: "No I do not 'gotta change' anything about my website unless I want to," and, "If you don't like it ... why continue to come back day after day to read it?"
One last thing: Taking an opposite point of view just for the sake of an argument is not thoughtful intelligent discourse. Opinions have to come from the heart, otherwise they are just stupid mindless quibbling, an exercise for a first year university student. If you present an argument because you want to show everyone how clever and thoughtful you are, you are almost always going to come across as everything but. A convictionless exercise in contrariness is an insult to the sensibilities of the other, and an embarrassing squandering of your own faculties.
