Is it possible to eat too many oranges?

I've been sick again the last week or so. At first it was just The Return of Bronchitis. Nothing unusual, but then I've been sneezing and stuffy, sore muscles, etc. ... in short, I've been sick goddamnit sick.

At the same time, I've been consuming mandarin oranges at a dizzying pace. It is not enough to eat a couple or three, I might eat that many, then sit around twitching until I go fetch two or three more. I have been decimating box after box of the damned things, and I can only wonder at the Orange Withdrawal Illness Effect Symptoms (the OWIES, for short) that I will be experiencing when the oranges are all gone in January.

So it's not a stretch to think that my body has been craving oranges for the Vitamin C they contain, and that my illness is being fought by the goodness of the oranges. But that does not necessarily mean it is overall a good thing to be eating five or more oranges per day. There might be side-effects that I would want to avoid.

I, of course, did look on the Internet, but the only symptoms of overeating oranges that I can see is headache, which I have not experienced; irritability, which I demonstrate in spades all the time anyway; and sleeplessness, which has not been a problem in months (since Spring, my traditional sleepless time).

So what are the other symptoms? Are there any? I mean, everyone knows that you can have too much of anything—even good things—so I must be eating too many oranges. But so far no effects good or bad.
