Young enough to have a future, old enough to have a past.

Hey, whoever said that was talking about me! (Well, in all honesty, talking about just about everyone else between the ages of 30 and 70, too.)

* * *

So, I've been embroiled in the CBC Hockey Night in Canada Anthem Challenge. I submitted one little instrumental tune for consideration, and it's been getting votes and being listened to. Some people have offered comments, etc. I'm enjoying the process, though I have no illusions of winning the contest.

Why do I think I don't have a chance? Because the winner will be the person who gets the highest average vote, and right now there are a handful of people who are clearly voting high marks repeatedly for themselves, and zero for everyone competing with them. The winner will be the person who has the most free time to click the crap out of the CBC Anthem website, not the best quality entry.

Anyhow, if you want to rate my anthem, here is the link.

You have to register and then log in, and that is probably the only reason why someone's script hasn't won the contest so far: Humans still need to be involved in the voting process.

But, regardless, I ask you, gentle reader and potential listener, to go give it a listen and vote with your heart. I hope you like it.
