There are those who obfuscate intentionally. I actually find these folks the least damaging of all the idiots. No matter how good they are at throwing up that smoke screen, at the end of the day they are only human and have to start acting that way—even if only temporarily while they build up another head of obscuring steam.

But those people who are, by their nature, obfuscatory as an evolved survival instinct are the most selfish and dangerous of all; a sense of wounded yet fiercely defensive pride follows these people around, as they continue through their careers and lives oblivious to the destruction they wreak and, in fact, convinced of their moral rectitude. Their self-confidence of how good and right they are actually feeds their desire to spread the smoke screen further and deeper. These are the clever idiots who will destroy us all.
