It's unfair.

Last Saturday I finally got out for my first ride of the year. Made it up to Burnaby Mountain—a bit cold, there was still some snow on the sides of the roads up there, but I didn't care—it was just awesome to get the cobwebs out. The bike itself roared to life after sitting still for 3 months. I think on the first turnover. Definitely by the second. This despite the fact it is approaching 3 years old. Battery tenders are awesome things, as is electronic fuel injection.

But .. aw geez ... things were going so well: sunny Saturday, temperatures above 5 degrees and pushing 10 ... bike back on the road ... Spring around the corner ... rebirth ... renewal ... sunshiney-happy-joy-lifegiving-goodness.

AND THEN THIS UNHOLY ABOMINATION GREETS ME THIS MORNING:

No gawdammit no no no!!!
