I get so amazingly offended by the insult to my intelligence of some television commercials. I usually mute the commercials when they come on and bury my head in my laptop computer until they drop the puck after the break. But sometimes a few of them get through my filters, and at a rate of about 25% or 30% they piss the living hell out of me.
I've been toying with the idea for a long time of keeping a running tally of the commercials that scrape my skin, and wondered if this is perhaps something better suited to Facebook (I, like the rest of the universe, have a Facebook page) except that I can easily imagine it turning into a group of apologists jumping in a disagreeing with me—or trying to somehow explain. I am irritated for my own reasons, and having the source of the irritation explained to me is a complete waste of time. It just irritates me more.
I'll just add a description of commercials to the top of it as they appear to me. I won't make it into anything formal. The deeper you go into the list, the older the commercials.
