
This is where it all started. First I pulled the fridge and stove off of the old floor, then I started prying up the old tiles. Those bloody things were very hard to remove, because they were glued down, and the areas in front of the sink and under the fridge were particularly stubborn; the weight of people standing on the tiles and the constant weight of the fridge served to glue the tiles down even more. Note how the subfloor was already leveled by whoever worked on it before me. I found myself silently thanking them for their diligence.
