Here are some silly things I've done to occupy my time.

At the insistence of others, and totally against my better judgement, here they are.

And my sister helped him by giving me his book, Chaos: Making a New Science. Shame on both of you. Here are three little 16-bit programs I wrote (in PowerBasic) from reading his book (click on the name to download the programs):

• Henon - Draws the Attractor of Henon (sounds like a B-movie, doesn't it?) Based on the iterative "fold and stretch" process described by the equation x_next=y+1-1.4x².
• Bif - Draws a bifurcated line based on the iterative population equation x_next=rx(1-x). Heady stuff.
• Mset - Not a stunning version of Benoit Mandelbrot's z_next=z²+c iterative process, but I wrote it all by myself. So I'm somewhat proud of it for sentimental reasons. It is zipped with two other files.

Note: These don't seem to work on Windows XP or 2000 unless you save them locally first, and I don't think they work at all on Windows NT4.0 (try them in DOS mode?) If you want to see the source code for any or all of these, please feel free to email me.
